How about Alaska Airlines. The CFO of AK emailed me personally many of times during ord 64. AK airlines was very much in support of this ord. They have received an award several years in a row for a perfect 100 score on LGBT issues. They even have a gay travel website. alaskaair.com/gaytravel. The CFO is openly gay at AK.
ReplyDeleteAlaska Airlines is LGBT-friendly, but only in low profile ways in this state. They sponsor Pride in Seattle, but not in Anchorage. They supported the ordinance, but asked to be taken off the Equality Works press release of supportive businesses. They wouldn't even let the CFO stay listed as a personal supporter.
ReplyDeleteBut the real reasons they are not in this post are (1) they are not an Alaska business, they are based near Seattle now, and (2) each of the businesses in this post has given me permission to list them here. Alaska Air has not given their ok.
Would you ask the CFO for their permission to be included as a GLBT-friendly Alaska business on Bent Alaska?
If they say yes, I'd be happy to add them despite the HQ in Washington.
Thanks for the suggestion!
